We're excited to launch a new giving campaign called Above & Beyond: Giving Today to Impact.
Ephesians 3:20–21 (CSB) says: “Now to Him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us—to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
This passage reminds us that our God is not limited by our own resources or circumstances. He is able to do more than we could ever ask or imagine. And He has promised to work through His church—for His glory and for the good of generations to come.
Last year we celebrated 65 years as a church. What a testimony of God’s faithfulness! But just as others gave and sacrificed so we could be here today, it’s now our turn to invest in the future. We want Westview to still be here in another 65 years, reaching people with the gospel, raising up disciples, and serving our community in Jesus’ name.
That’s what Above & Beyond is all about. We are asking our church family to prayerfully consider giving above and beyond your regular tithe so that we can raise $200,000 for four strategic projects:
- An indoor playground in the Flower Room, right beside our kids’ area. This will be a safe, fun, welcoming space where families can gather and where kids will want to come back again and again.
- A new lighting system for our Schacht Ministry Center (Gym), We use that room for sports, events, and Sunday worship. Right now, we’re literally flipping breakers to turn on the lights. A new system will help us create the kind of atmosphere that feels more like a sanctuary and less like a gym.
- A new LED sign out front, along with new signage inside our building. Our current sign is outdated and limited in what it can do. We have a tiny window of time for people to see our church as they drive by. And as they do, they only see a small portion of the building and assume we are a much smaller church than we are. This new signage will help us communicate clearly and welcome guests with excellence.
- Remodeled bathrooms on our upper level near the kitchen. They are old, outdated, and hard to navigate—especially for our senior adults. We want everyone to feel comfortable and cared for in our church.
Each project is practical, but each one is also deeply missional. Together, they will help us reach new people and serve our community more effectively.
We know finances are challenging for many right now, and even our church budget has felt stretched. This campaign is not about how much one person can do, but about all of us joining together to do what only God can do. We’re not all able to give the same amount, but we can all make the same commitment to trust God and give faithfully. Not everyone can give equally, but everyone can give sacrificially. And if each of us simply asks the Lord how He wants us to give and then responds in faith, I believe He will provide all we need.
We believe this is a defining moment for us. God has been faithful for 65 years—and He will be faithful for the next 65. Let’s trust Him. Let’s step forward in faith. Let’s go Above & Beyond—together.
